In order to choose the perfect towel from our vast lineup, it is important to understand the characteristics of each towel. The strengths of each IKEUCHI ORGANIC series can be seen in the diagram below, including price range.

IF IT'S SOFTNESS YOU'RE AFTER

Try Organic 5 or Organic Air with deep pile loops creating a soft, plush towel. Soft towels are not as durable as tightly woven ones, but plenty of use can be enjoyed with proper maintenance. Spread and dry in the shade after washing, and cut loose pile with scissors. Daily care will reward you with surprising longevity.

IF IT'S ABSORBENCY YOU'RE AFTER

Try the thick Cotton 7, Cotton Nouveau, or the ultra-absorbent bamboo rayon Bamboo A1. With 100% organic cotton towels, long pile in high concentration will give better absorbency, though at the price of slower drying.

IF IT'S DURABILITY YOU'RE AFTER

Try our eternal favorite the Organic 1. A perfect balance of pile length, density, and weight which keeps its quality well with age. A best seller that looks and feels like an ordinary towel but customers who try it once almost always come back for more. Organic 3 and Organic 7 also boast plush thickness with great durability.

Try the ultra light Organic Air or Straits 2. Soft and light towels dry quickly often at the cost of absorbency, but we have combined absorbent materials and used a high concentration of thin yarn to improve absorbency. Wrap yourself in this velvety soft and light towel that maintains great absorbency.

IF IT'S LUXURY HOTEL QUALITY YOU'RE AFTER

Hotel guest towels must keep their soft texture through many washes and have excellent durability. Try the Organic 3, Organic 7 or Cotton Nouveau with high density thick yarn able to withstand hard use and extra laundering far exceeding the normal household. Please contact us for details.

READY TO USE

Follow the steps detailed below to get years of joyous use from your IKEUCHI ORGANIC towel.
IKEUCHI ORGANIC towels are ready to use straight after purchase. Our meticulous choice of materials, bleaching and dyeing methods create a product of such quality that it is at full absorbency from purchase, without the need for washing.

2. WASHING

USE POWDER SOAP OR
NATURAL OIL DETERGENT

WASH POWDER

Use soap powder or natural oil based liquid detergents to maintain texture. Please avoid using chlorine bleaches or fluorescent whiteners. Use synthetic detergents in small quantities if necessary.

FABRIC SOFTENERS

To maintain absorbency, please avoid using fabric softeners. Softeners work by coating fibers to create a soft feel after washing, however this coating inhibits the natural absorbency of the fibers.

WATER TEMPERATURE

To avoid color fading or staining please use water cooler than 40℃. Washing at high temperature for extended periods may cause dyes to leach from fabric.

DRYING

After removing from the washing machine and hanging in the sun, towels should ideally be moved into the shade before they are completely dry. This allows the temperature to normalize and prevents over drying which causes texture to deteriorate. Moisture levels will naturally stabilize to the level originally present maintaining organic cotton and bamboo rayon characteristics well.

HANGING

After spin drying, take the damp towel by the ends and flap it several times to return air to the pile and maintain texture as it dries. Ideally hang over a horizontal pole and if possible avoid hanging by clothes pins to prevent deforming.

After use, flap your towel several times as you would after washing, and hang on a towel rack. Do not leave damp towels in a pile as they may fade or stain other items.

PILE CARE

If pile loops get caught and pull free, cut them off at the base with sharp scissors. Cutting loose ends will prevent affecting other areas. Leaving loose threads dangling will cause it to unravel faster.
